I came home this evening and the first thing I was told was that my uncle died an accident.
Heard of the accident that occured in the construction site? The one about 3 who died and 3 injured?
I was kind of stunned. Even though I wasn't close with this uncle of mine. One thing is he isn't a Lim. He was given to my Grandma's brother. So he had my Grandma's surname, Luo. But still, he is my uncle.
I don't know much about him. But he was nice. I had the feeling he was the good husband, good father kind of guy. He was the fourth son of my grandparents. My father had 10 siblings. And the third uncle of mine died in a construction accident too. And that happened a long time ago. I had never seen him in my life.
Nair mind. Let's not talk about this already. I don't know what else to say anyway.
Work today was fine. Time passed quickly as I had things to do. And I got my own locker already so I can start bringing stuff like clothes and stuff in case I would like to take a shower in camp. Should be able to get my temporary pass and uniform by next week.
And I went to take my new glasses. Know those black rim, plastic kind of glasses? Those very nerdy kind of glasses? Ha.
I can't wait for the weekends to come. Herman you're right. When we start working 8 to 5 we just can't wait for the weekends to come every week. 2 more days!
